This year, the Knox County School District will apply a new calendar for school holidays. The benefits of this new calendar are as follows:
-Firstly, Less stress on parents and students: With a more centralized calendar, there will be less confusion and stress on both parents and students. This is important during the holiday season when many children are already stressed from preparations.
-Secondly, Improved attendance rates: Since students know what days are off, they are more likely to attend school. This not only improves their educational experience, but it also saves the school district money in terms of missed instruction time.
-Finally, Reduced wastefulness: With fewer days off in a row, there is less opportunity for students to take unnecessary breaks or skip classes altogether. In addition, this saves the district money on food services and other related expenses.
